Welcome to NUFA
Welcome to the Nipissing University Faculty Association (NUFA) website. We represent 180 full-time faculty and over 200 part-time members at Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario and our regional campuses in Brantford and Bracebridge.
We are organized into two bargaining units, the Full-time Academic Staff Bargaining Unit (FASBU) and the Contract Academic Staff Bargaining Unit (CASBU) which consists of part-time faculty, lab instructors, seminar instructors, and ABQ instructors. We negotiate separate collective agreements but share a common finance and grievance system.
Our aim is to negotiate and ensure the implementation of our collective agreements. We also engage in various learning opportunities and participate with other faculty associations in the wider labour movement. Information on the NUFA Executive and Standing Committees can be found on the website along with our Collective Agreements and Association Constitution.
